1. Damnation Angels were formed in 2006 and released your debut EP in 2009.Since then you've released two albums. Why do you take so long to put out a new album?

- It has been a while hasn't it. It wasn't intentional, we wanted to have this album out atleast a year earlier. Things just take a while and after waiting so long we still wanted to give the album a proper build up and release at the right time. It all started though following the line up change back in 2015 as it took us a while to find a new singer, someone who was capable enough to perform our music. Following the line-up change we ended up doing two back to back European tours with Threshold which were amazing. Then finally in August of 2018 we started tracking the album only to be slowed once again when negotiating with labels came around. I believe and hope the next one will come sooner haha. 

2. This year you're releasing album 3 "Fiber of Our Being". Please tell us about it?

- Well first of all I believe this is our first album to truly sound like a band all playing together. It's slightly hard to explain but all I can say is as soon as you put the opening track on "More Than Human" I think it's very evident and I believe quite a few things contributed to this. The band had a different energy going into the studio this time. We had really improved as a live band over the last few years, I mean you have to when touring with the likes of Threshold. But it gave us a new energy going into the studio and I believe we captured this on the album. Secondly, I believe it's our catchiest album yet. We worked really hard to make that possible. It also features our longest song and possibly most epic yet "Remnants Of A Dying Star" which I know a lot of fans will be excited about!

3. How does it differ from "The Valiant Fire"?

- With The Valiant Fire it was pretty much all about epic music, throwing everything but the kitchen sink at it. Taking what we did on Bringer Of light and improving it, making it even more epic. It almost felt like a direct sequel to that album. With Fiber Of Our Being, we took a different approach. It's a more refined, mature album, I think a logical progression from what we have done before. Nothing is there for the sake of it, we took away unnecesary instruments in favour of clarity, bigger catchier choruses, better songwriting and more overall polish. However don't get me wrong, there's still plenty on there for fans of the epicness of previous albums. We have still retained the symphonic edge that we always have, but it's used more wisely. We also opted to use a lot more synth on this album, which is more fitting with the whole theme this time around.

4. You've put a single out too "A Sum of our parts". The video is very intense and thought provoking. Tell us about it?

- I was really excited to release this song and video, also really proud of it on a personal level. I can't go into to much detail of the story that is playing out in the video as I want people to interpret it in their own way however I think the song and video compliment each other really well. I also said if we were going to make a music video it had to be the right song, the right time and with the right company. There's nothing worse than a bad music video is there haha, forever shamed on youtube! We Worked with the amazing Sitcom Soldiers and it was a great experience, they did a fantastic job of bringing my ideas to life! We will definitely work with them again.

5. How have the band been affected by COVID and lockdown?

- It's affected the bands schedule quite a lot. We delayed the album even further to wait for the worst of it to pass. It's just been an odd year in general hasn't it, the main focus for everybody was just staying safe and looking after each other. Spending so much time at home enabled me to really push the album promotion online so there was a slight upside to this horrible situation.

6. Any live dates planned?

- I'm afraid not. Everything is a bit crazy and all over the place at the moment. However we are very much looking forward to getting out there as soon as possible to tour the new album.

7. Have you any advice for new bands and musicians just starting out?

- I think the best advice I can give is, don't cut corners when it comes to making your first cd, don't make a "demo" either. Make a single or an e.p and get it done by someone who has achieved great results already. A producer who will give you contructive critism and suggestions. Our EP Shadow Symphony from 2009 still sounds great now, it's stood the test of time. I'm proud of every album we have made and having a solid back catalogue really is key. Another tip I can give is learn to be critical of your own music, sometimes I write some proper stinkers and knowing when you do this is critical. Which also means knowing when you are on to something is even more important! Finally, take the time to learn about the industry, I didn't do this early on and wish I had. Learn about PRS, PPL and releasing music digitally.

8. Who are your musical influences?

- My influences range from classical composers, film scores to bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden. I grew up listening to rock and metal and then branched out more and more as I got older. 

9. What is your favourite song?

- It's a tough question and really hard to pick just one song! It really depends what mood I am in at the time. Let's go with Blackened by Metallica for the sheer amount of times I have played it!!

Formed in Britain late 2006, DAMNATION ANGELS set out to create a new benchmark in symphonic metal.

The band began by releasing their debut e.p Shadow Symphony in 2009, receiving rave reviews from critics stating that the band are “the brightest spark to emerge upon the UK scene in a very long time” and are “comparable with mega acts such as Avantasia and Blind Guardian“. Following the release the band struck a deal with Radtone Records (Japan) and released their debut album “Bringer Of Light” in Japan. A worldwide release followed in 2013 when the band struck a multi album deal with Massacre Records (Germany).

Canada's Moonlight Desires return with another heavy dose of 80’s childhood nostalgia with their next cover EP “At The Movies”, out now, as of July 17th via Infamous Butcher Records. Taking you on a sonic trip down memory lane, Moonlight Desires convert classic movie soundtracks from Dirty Dancing, The Goonies, Karate Kid, and The Breakfast Club into modern sounding hard rock bangers! The EP follows 2017's “Just The Hits: 1981-1985”, which transformed timeless hits such as “Sunglasses At Night” by Corey Hart and “Something About You” by Level 42 into party rock anthems along with their 2014 debut album “Frankie Goes To Hamilton” that delivered a rollicking cover arrangement of classic love songs.

“I wanted to pay homage to the most nostalgic 80’s movies from my youth to bring some happiness back to 2020! These movies were iconic and the singles are larger-than-life! I always wondered how they would sound all Heavy’d up!” 

Moonlight Desires might only play 80s cover songs, but you’d be wrong to dismiss them as just another cover band. Formed by long-time Hamilton, ON musician Trevor Ziebarth (Actor/Writer/Composer on Teletoon’s adult comedy series Sons of Butcher), Moonlight Desires is his ode to the raunchy romances and youthful misadventures of summer’s past. By re-working synth-laden pop hits of the 1980s, Ziebarth manages to turn familiar guilty pleasures into modern, guitar-driven rock anthems.
 
“For those unfamiliar, I created a television show with my brother Jay Ziebarth back in 2005 called ‘Sons of Butcher’. It was a unique adult comedy cartoon series that aired on Teletoon and was sold to over 200 countries around the world. The show was the first to blend video heads into a cartoon world. The Sons of Butcher characters worked in a butcher shop by day and were a spandex-clad rock outfit by night, with my character (Ricky Butcher) relentlessly trying to make it as a big rock star. As a companion to the show, Sons of Butcher recorded and released a few comedy rock albums using songs from the show as inspiration, and travelled across Canada twice on a sponsored tour by Teletoon. As a live band, Sons of Butcher used to perform heavied-up covers of 80s songs and they often became fan/crowd favourites. Ultimately, I noticed the positive response and it led to the formation of Moonlight Desires in 2013.” says Trevor Ziebarth.
 
As an homage to their Canadian music heritage, the band decided to take their name from the popular 80s song ‘Moonlight Desires’ by iconic singer/songwriter Gowan.
 
“I wanted to have a direct (1980s song) reference …but I also thought it would fit in nicely with the band’s heavier direction,” says Ziebarth.

Out Now! as of July 17th, Rockshots Records presents Calgary hard rockers In/Vertigo's debut EP "Sex, Love and Chaos". The four-song record portrays In/Vertigo's intensity, drive, and relentless ear drilling musical expressions. It's a result of their sound, says the band, "Sexy, Passionate and Chaotic. All the songs represent these three things in one or more ways. We want to get their hearts pumping, and veins throbbing. We want to be the soundtrack to your sex life, social life, your highs, your lows, and your deepest introspective moments."

In celebration of the EP's release, the band is sharing their new music video for the track "Take It" HERE.

The band explains the track:

"This was one of the first songs we wrote as a band, it has stood the test of time because it best represented early on where we were going musically. We have recorded 3-4 versions of this track leading us to this final version. The song deals with confidence in leaving a shitty situation and moving on with one's self. "

Formed in 2016, the quartet delivers relentless, memorable performances at the jet engine decibels of a Boeing 747. Consisting of vocalist Reed Alton, guitarist Shaddy Elsaghir, bassist Duncan McCartney, and drummer Keaton Byfield, the band has already made a mark for itself touring and constantly gigging around Western Canada. Performing high profile gigs with international acts such as Diamond Head, Age Of Electric, Pop Evil, The Wild!, The Lazy's has proven the band as young pros, still hungry for bigger stages and even bigger crowds.

In/Vertigo was founded in the spring of 2016 by local Calgary rock veterans Shaddy Elsaghir and Duncan McCartney who had got in contact with local vocalist Reed Alton. After jamming with a few drummers they found their fourth quarter in Keaton 'Keystone' Byfield through a reliable recommendation. The quartet immediately found chemistry through both musical and personal commonly related beliefs and goals. Thus creating a tubules force that would wreak havoc throughout Western Canada for the next few years.

Through hard work, relentless ethic, and determination, I/V was able to cement themselves as rock and roll staples within their hometown of Calgary and the rest of the western Canadian provinces. They soon started to open up for bigger named acts such as Diamond Head, Pop Evil, The Wild!, The Lazy's to name a few, and gaining even more attention and accolades.

Around the rise and constant momentum that the band had been accumulating in 2017, the group recorded a 4 song demo with Ronnie S Champagne (of Alice In Chains, Janes Addiction fame) that sold out a limited print both locally and regionally within the year. By 2018 they recorded a cut of what will be their debut EP: Sex Love & Chaos. This was again a limited print that sold out both within their own homegrown territory and abroad. Backed by a self-financed music video for their song Bad Enemy the band was able to constantly tour and gig nonstop over the next 2 years reaching upwards of 350 shows.

After the success locally and online of Bad Enemy (which had been streamed over 200,000 times on Spotify alone), In/Vertigo was reached out and acquired to perform at the 4th of July festival in Deerfield Beach, Florida in 2019. This marked the first international gig for the Canadian hard rockers, who did not disappoint, performing in front of 3 thousand to a great reception and success.

Due to the snowball effect that had been a product of the band's efforts, In/Vertigo was signed to Italian heavy metal and hard rock label Rockshot Records. This, along with the momentum that the band has continuously upheld, paves way for the answer in the global market of Hard Rock and Rockn' Roll: In/Vertigo.

Now currently completing their revamped and polished debut EP Sex Love & Chaos, In/Vertigo along with their label and ever-growing team, set out to launch the next great chapter in rock history. Melodic Death Metal Veterans THE ABSENCE Complete Recording Fifth Album

The Tampa, Florida-based melodic death metal group THE ABSENCE – whose acclaimed 2018 comeback album, “A Gift For The Obsessed,” was hailed by No Clean Singing as “a more-than-welcome (and occasionally stunning) return from one of the underground’s most promising, yet underappreciated, artists” – have finished recording their as-yet-untitled sophomore effort for M-Theory Audio, which is tentatively set for an early 2021 release.  The new album – like “A Gift For The Obsessed” – was recorded and produced by drummer Jeramie Kling and guitarist Taylor Nordberg at their own Smoke & Mirrors Productions in suburban Tampa, and is currently being mixed at Sweden's legendary Fascination Street Studios (Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Kreator) by Ricardo Borges. Additional information about the release will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Says bassist Mike Leon, “This record has a lot of my favorite music that the band has ever created, and it has pushed the boundaries of what I thought was possible for us beyond my wildest dreams. The fact that the gentlemen at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden have lent their masterful ears and knobs for the mixing and mastering process just furthers the excitement! It is my firm belief that this is truly THE ABSENCE in its strongest, most exciting form, and we can't wait to share this monster that we've created!" THE ABSENCE came onto the scene in 2005 with their crushing, Erik Rutan-produced Metal Blade debut, “From Your Grave.” The album and its two follow-ups, 2007’s “Riders of the Plague” and 2010’s “Enemy Unbound,” showcased a perfect mixture of heart-wrenching melodies and skull-pounding aggression that earned the group a well-deserved reputation as one of the premiere bands of the melodic death metal movement. Numerous tours followed alongside some of the biggest names in metal, including Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Amon Amarth, Sabaton, Goatwhore, Malevolent Creation, Kataklysm and Destruction.  Following a lengthy hiatus, the band regrouped in 2016 with a new lineup uniting founding members Kling and Jamie Stewart (vocals) with Nordberg and longtime bassist Leon – first for the self-released digital single “Septic Testament,” and then for "A Gift for The Obsessed." “Escape” With Proggers LUFEH's New Music Video

New Album “Luggage Falling Down” Out Now!

Los Angeles based progressive metallers Lufeh (a band of both Brazilian and American musicians) creates an enjoyable experience, meandering through jazz styles, heavy metal foundations, and rhythmic Brazilian influences. The mind expanded sonic journey is something new and interesting to listen to on the band's debut album “Luggage Falling Down” released this past April. The album was a trying, yet successful first recording for these recently banded musicians who lived together for two weeks throughout the process. Having lost the original singer a month before recording began, the intrepid bunch found hope with Dennis Atlas who fell in step with the rest of the band immediately. This bond between the members can be seen in their series of videos that the band has been releasing in support of the full length.

Today, Lufeh shares their next video that showcases their high energy and knack for performing with the track “Escape”, which can be seen on YouTube HERE.

The band explains the song:

"Escape deals with the faith it takes to move out of a stagnant or unhealthy situation while still holding true to the values you identify with. In true 'Luggage Falling Down' fashion, this heavy subject is faced fearlessly and authentically with a groovy, upbeat charisma."

For fans of Dream Theater, Incubus, and Haken, Lufeh is smooth and rhythmic progressive metal; heavy chords followed by light melodies and the occasional crazy guitar solo. Their debut full length “Luggage Falling Down” is available for stream and download on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music.

About:

Lufeh is a musical collaboration of excellent Brazilian and American musicians brought together by drummer Batera Lufeh. Lufeh himself has had a successful career performing with many famous Brazilian bands and artists, including one of the most well known Christian rock bands of its style, Oficina G3, among others. In 2008, he recorded his first solo album “Drummed On Classics”, which uniquely combined a mix of classical pieces with progressive rock drumming.

Since moving to the U.S. in 2014, Lufeh has continued his career as a musician, starting in Florida, where he performed with Kristo Reggae and Big Pine Band. Lufeh participated in the Blue Man Group Drum-Off in 2016, where he was awarded the privilege to take part in its grand finale in Las Vegas, and chosen as one of the top five drummers in the contest. He then moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he became the official drummer of Kenny Shipman.

Now, in 2020, Lufeh is an entire unit moving forward with the addition of Gera Penna (keyboard); Duca Tambasco (bass); Dennis Atlas (vocals);  and Teo Dornellas (guitar) who have proven to be a great match. The band recently released the highly-anticipated second album “Luggage Falling Down”, a solid record of Brazilian influenced groovy progressive metal, which has received great praise from reviewers, calling it a mix between Brazilian music, Rush, and Dream Theater.

The album is both melodic and highly energetic and aggressive. With a strong foundation in jazz and classical musicality, the band brings a metal edge to a unique melodic story. These progressive metal warriors have become tycoons of song structure and, throughout the album, display highly refined expertise in making music that is captivating to listen to, addictively technical, and uplifting.

Former guitarist with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and award-winning American blues guitarist Kirk Fletcher is very happy to release his sixth album “My Blues Pathway” via Cleopatra Records. The first single “No Place To Go,” co-written with Richard Cousins, is released and available to stream on Tuesday July 21 from https://orcd.co/kirk_fletcher_no_place_to_go.   “This song is about the struggles of success, sometimes at the expense of what life is really about,” says Kirk. “It about self-empowerment and what a person’s view of happiness means, whether, it is a house on a hill or a meal for the day to survive.” Watch the video for "No Place To Go" - https://youtu.be/qgHyQJyiARU  “My Blues Pathway” follows hot on the heels of Kirk’s 2018 Blues music award nominated album “Hold On.”  The album features a mix of originals, covers and two co-writes with Robert Cray’s longtime bass player Richard Cousins, with all music arrangements by Kirk Fletcher. “The album was a joy to make,” says Kirk – “especially making music with some of my longtime friends. I’ve known drummer David Kida for over 25 years. We have been in the trenches together on the L.A. Blues music scene.” "It was very important for me to include some covers on this album. I wanted to shine a spotlight on some of my favourite blues artists including Sonny Boy Williamson, Chris Cain, AC Reed and Juke Boy Bonner.” Kirk recorded this album over the Christmas holidays 2019 in six days over a two-week period.

The band has also started a collaboration with UAC Management and they are currently working on a european tour for Spring/Summer 2021.

LASTWORLD is guitarist/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter JIM SHEPARD and vocalist DAVID CAGLE.

The new studio release "Over The Edge" is the follow up to their debut album "Time" on MelodicRock Records. 

JK Northrup the master of mastering was brought in again to boost the sonics, so fans will hear the best versions of these recordings.

JIM SHEPARD is an American independent multi-instrumentalist who has recorded several solo albums as well as his band Taxi,

who dominated the Northwest Indiana rock scene in the 90s. Award-winning international singer DAVID CAGLE has recorded vocals

on more than 1000 songs over the past 10 years for clients all over the world, covering multiple genres of music. Although a singer of

many styles, Cagle is most known for his melodic, soulful rock voice.
