The Guitar Show Moves Venue For 2023
Organisers
of The Guitar Show – the UK’s largest guitar event – have
announced a move to a new venue for 2023.
The relocation follows a significant fire at The Guitar Show’s long-standing home, New Bingley Hall in Birmingham in mid-September. The scale of the fire, which was tackled by more than 100 firefighters, sadly resulted in the complete destruction of the venue.
To be held on the originally-planned dates for 2023 – 25-26th February – The Guitar Show moves to Cranmore Park in Shirley, West Mids, which recently played host to the successful BPM DJ show. The new venue allows the familiar layout of The Guitar Show to remain similar to previous years, with the benefit of the Acoustic Hall now also being located on the ground floor.
In addition to the usual extensive exhibition area, the show’s Live Stage (which has seen the likes of Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Bernie Marsden and Ryan Roxie (Alice Cooper) grace its boards over the years) will feature some amazing talent over the weekend.
Easily accessible from the M42 (approximately two miles from Junction 4), Cranmore Park also offers more than 550 car parking spaces on-site.
Show organiser Jason Hunt said, “I have run events at The New Bingley Hall for over a decade and my heart goes out to the team there. I paid a visit to survey the damage and the team were broken by it. Whilst it might be something of an inconvenience for The Guitar Show, this is their livelihood.
“They have so far cancelled over 50 events and have no re-opening date whilst they await the surveyors report. As such we’ve had to make the decision to relocate, to ensure that visitors can still enjoy the UK’s best guitar get-together next year. I’m really pleased to be able to move to Cranmore Park, which offers great facilities and easy parking and allows us to remain in the heart of the country. With an exciting array of exhibitors already confirmed for 2023, I’m confident it will be a great show.”
