Paul started playing drums at the age of 12 and at 16 he started playing in clubs around the north east UK in various bands. In 1989 Paul settled into a band writing their own material, He enjoyed the recording as much as playing and still does. The band White Lies, went to Hamburg to record their album Time. Paul was bitterly disappointed with the production and thought they should rather stayed home and record at Fred Pursers studio trinity heights. The demos from there were better than the album tracks. The band went their separate ways in 96.In January 97 Paul was back in the clubs with the band Time Flies that was until 2001 and in 2002 he reunited with two lads he had worked with in the middle 80's to form 80's band Midlife Crisis These were the same 4 lads until 2015. Then after that Paul had a break until 2017 when he started with T Rox, a 70s glam rock covers band. He is still playing drums with them at time of writing.
Paul is, however, looking to join or form a new band.
Along with Time Paul also recorded with Scarlet Skies on the album with the same name and Timeweaver on the album Weight of Hours both available on music platforms. Paul has also done a little self indulgent solo album which is just having finishing touches put to it.
