The skinny: The Bloodshots

 

Formed:  We've been kicking around since 2013 and still going stronger than ever!

Who?  This current line up is the strongest the band has ever had. Myself (front man Cj Loane) and Keith Skazyk are the founding members and guitar chumps of the band but now we have Ben Hodges on Drums and the multi talented Kaitlyn Childs on Bass.

Their sound:  Our sound has actually been summed up best when we were playing shows with SLASH and the Conspirators. They said "Your sound is so unique! It's like Grungy Punk N Roll!" So we roll with that!

Influences:  Keith and I originally come from influences like the 90s grunge movement and that vibe. But collaboratively we also have a very punk rock background.

Gigging:  We've been playing like crazy in 2024 and kicked off our tour at the world famous Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood California. We just wrapped up festival season with a big show in Winnipeg Canada.

New shit:  We also just dropped a banger of a new single titled "The Bay Blues" last month and it has grown legs! It's about the San Francisco Bay area. Stream it on Spotify, Apple Music etc!

Inspiration and fun facts  Well I myself am of Indigenous ancestry and that comes with its own set of hurdles and benefits alike. Racism is still alive out there in the music business folks!
Another thing some fans may not know is that we are no stranger to the big stage! Having played shows and toured with the likes of Buckcherry, Danko Jones, Monster Truck, Steel Panther, SLASH, The Headstones, Finger Eleven and a bunch more!

Embarrassing moments? Hmmm. That's a tough one. We don't really get embarrassed haha. We're constantly ripping on each other and pranking each other so there's no room for embarrassment.

Pre gig rituals. Not really. Keith and I like to enjoy a Jack n Coke or 2, Ben usually hit the practice pad and Kate is usually recording things for our social media.

Dream gig.  not sure we have a "list" or anything like that. We take things as they come, and sometimes you have to go out and grab em. We're always open to working with pros.
